In my previous tutorial, I demonstrated how to Clear “Ransom Note” formatting from a PowerPoint Slide Presentation. Now, after several viewer requests, I show you how to avoid the “Lurking Dangers of Cell Formatting.”
In my experience, many Excel users, mistakenly, think the pressing the Delete Key will clear both Cell Contents and Cell Formatting. It does not!
Rather use the “Clear All” or “Clear Formatting” Commands on the Home Tab of the Ribbon. If you are using Excel 2003 or earlier, you will find these commands on the Edit Menu.
In this tutorial, I also demonstrate how to use Paste Special Operators” (Add and Multiply) to quickly convert “Numbers Stored as Text” to true Numeric Values.
If you want to learn more about these techniques, I cover them in-depth on my new Video Resource – “Nine Essential Excel Skills.” You can learn more about this when you visit my secure online shopping site –
