  1. Just finished it. It reminds me so much of Carry on but somehow it still is it’s completely own book. Rainbow Rowell and Carry on are my favorite author and favorite book but I think this might now be up there as my second favorite. Or even an equal to Carry on. I’m so sad I can’t read it again for the first time.

  2. I personally thought the novel had some issues which didn't make me like it as much as you, but enjoy your review and enthusiasm!

  3. I’ve been seeing this book a lot on audible and I will definitely be picking it up now!! Will you be reviewing Christine Riccios book? I’m very curious to know what you think!

  4. “dear thisbe,
    i wish there wasn’t a wall
    love, pyramus”
that quote makes me emotional eVERY TIME. and my favorite moments would have to be when alex flies to england to yell at henry, call him an obtuse fucking asshole then declare his love for him (i love my overdramatic boy). and ofc ellen’s iconic slide presentation: “Exploring your sexuality: Healthy, but does it have to be with the Prince of England?” bwjwjwkow there were so many amazing quotes/moments that i can’t possibly list all of them, but shit this book holds a special place in my heart 😔😔

  5. i loved this book sm, it automatically became one of my faves 🥺 one of my favorite aspects of it were the emails (aka love letters). i’m such a softie that i literally started tearing up while reading the emails they sent to each other. historical queer figures?? YES. and i agree with you when saying that this book is GENUINELY funny, this is one of few books that have actually managed to make me laugh out loud.

  6. I WANT TO READ THIS SO BAD
I just finished re-reading The Fever King by Victoria Lee and if you want angsty gay romance it's ahhHHHHH

  7. I love this book so much and just ahhhhhhh. I can’t wait to read Casey’s next book too!! (And I hope we get some short stories or something following up RWRB bc that’d be so amazing!!!)
